cleaning intake manifold

hey guys I I have my intake manifold off my lb9 and I figured it was a good time to clean it. what is a good way? I heard everything from soaking it in soapy water to using oven cleaner

There's plenty of way to do it effectively. Both of the ways you mentioned work fine. Don't use abrasive stuff on it like wire brushes, though. If you must use a wire brush, use a brass brush, not a steel one.

Oven cleaner works well as does any quality degreaser like simple green or super clean. I try to use biodegradable stuff since I don't want to hurt my yard.

Funny you should ask,I did mine today(bored)I used Spray on Goofoff and a Brass brush as was mentioned earlier.

I cleand mine with dawn dish soap while changing the intake manifold gasket. Spray painted it and the valve covers with high temp black. It came out great.
