Camaro Stalls While Burning Out

I have a 91 Camaro RS 5 speed with a built 350 TBI in it. The car idles and drives great. I have one problem... I dump the clutch anywhere above 2500 rpm the car sputters, then backfires, and sometimes dies. Is it not getting enough fuel? Is the computer? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is not really enough info provided to acurately diagnose the issue, but I'll give you a little food for thought. An engine only needs three things to run; fuel, air and spark. IMO the backfiring would lead me to lack of fuel.

The car has a 454 throttle body.. It should be getting plenty of fuel..

Just because you have a big TB on it does not mean the fuel is getting delivered. How does it act if you're rolling and hammer the throttle or launch from a lower RPM? Is there a delay in throttle response? Do you get any slight popping, pinging, anything like that? Have you checked for codes?

Yes, there is a slight delay in throttle response. Especially if you do launch from a low rpm. Sorry for leaving out details. And no I didn't check codes yet.

I would get a fuel pressure gauge on it. It sounds like you might have a clogged fuel filter or possible the sock at the bottom of the fuel pump.
