Fuel filter check valve

Does a stock type fuel injection fuel filter have a internal check valve to maintain fuel pressure at the fuel rails?

Re: Fuel filter check valve

According to K&N tech support their PF-1000 direct replacement fuel filter does not have a one way check valve, it's safe to assume that a AC Delco or other direct replacement filters also do not have a check valve.

Re: Fuel filter check valve

No.

It was the pumps that had them, not the filter.

Most pumps don't even have them now. You can buy an in-line high flow check valve if it's something you really need, but modern pumps pressurize so fast it isn't needed.
