91 tpi sd into 87 maf tpi

I have a 91 bird harness and 7730 ecm with prom i also know i need to repin c100 to firewall and theres the speedo issue of 4pulse to 2 pulse which i can get through painless ....i have a resistor to disable vats
All other sensors knock oil switch if need be i can change on the fly

what else am i missing to put into my 87 has anyone else converted using newer harness thanks everyone all advice welcome!

Easier to just get an EBL-Flash II and change it over to SD that way. You just re-pin a few things and wire in the MAP sensor.

Seriously - much easier to sell that harness, get the EBL-Flash II, move the 8 or so pins on the ECM harness connector, wire in the 3 wires to the MAP sensor, and be done. The EBL also has the ability to just turn off the VATS. No resistor required. And you have the ability to do any other tuning required without burning any chips (it uses flash rom, with a USB/Windows interface and has memory for 8 separate tunes).

As for swapping the entire harness - you are likely on your own. You will need factory service manuals for both models. Very unlikely anyone here will *remember* exactly how to do all 150 steps to that process. Surely several have done it - I've done similar things in the past. But after it's done your promptly forget that nightmare and next time you consider doing it you look for an easier solution. Like the EBL. Wisdom and hindsight and all that......

I can see the pros of the ebl flash 2 but both require repinning im not good with programming either id have to have someone do that

The repinning on the EBL is very simple. Comes with detailed instructions. And it comes with startup files that will easily run a stock engine without any changes. It also can self-tune if you add a wideband setup. It's quite easy.

The repinning is truly minor and all done at the ECM harness accessible under the passenger kick panel. I even reverted mine back to stock when I went full stand-alone and built a harness adapter to go from the 7165 to my LINK G4-X Extreme.

You just load the ROM file that best matches your stock configuration and it should be very close out of the box. Shouldn't require any real "programming". And in any case this forum is an excellent resource for help with that.
