90 IROC-Z with 238K
90 IROC-Z with 238K
I want to know if a 90 IROC-Z with 238K miles almost is a good purchase for $5000? The car is in pretty good shape and runs well considering the mileage. Interior has some wear and tear, the outside is in pretty good shape. Want to know if it’s worth paying for that much?
Sorry I’m new to the forums and for some reason I can’t post a new thread or post.

Re: This a true iroc?
Thats what I was thinking I have seen others with way less miles for about the same price sometimes less. The car is a true IROC. There’s another one that’s an 89 IROC with 90K miles being sold for about the same the only problem is it needs some work for it to run from what the seller told me. Haven’t been able to go more in depth with him about it but surely that would be a better option especially if the repairs isn’t too expensive.

Miles dont matter much, really just the condition and how it was kept. Show up with 3k in cash and make an offer if you like the car. People change their tune when you wave a stack of greenbacks at them. Worst case he says no.
Re: 90 IROC-Z with 238K
These are the pics I have of it. Don’t have any for the undercarriage or engine bay but everything is fine in the car. The car starts on second crank but always starts and hasn’t left him stranded, and after a while of driving there’s a bit of oil drops but that’s all I was told for it besides getting questions answered that I asked myself.

That car does not look like it has that many miles and looks very solid. It obviously needs a few things but looks like it was taken care of for the most part. 3-4K would be a decent offer IMO and could be worth more depending on where in the country you are.

If it isn't modified a lot and the suspension completely shot them maybe it is worth 5k. Engine rebuild isn't a huge deal especially if it doesn't need any machine work.

What service records does the seller have? My vehicles with that kind of miles, I have FULL records. They actually stack 3-4" high. Several of my cars, I have records back to DAY 1.

I just asked since I forgot to ask about that, and also for more pictures of the under carriage, engine, etc. I’ll be seeing the car soon sometime in a week or so.
