You're gonna have to raise the car and wiggle under there to get the #8 plug. You can access it immediately behind the a-arm (or whatever its called)....

Yeah that #8 plug is a *****. You're gonna have to wiggle (or jack the car up in my case...) under the car and get at it from behind the a-arm (or whatever its called).
Well this might sounds STUPID but it worked for me. When I got my headers put on I couldnt get anything in to even get touch my #8. So what I did was take the socket wrench and bust off the the Porcelin of the plug, then I put the normal socket head on and took it right off. I know it is risky but if you dont smash it and break it off int he egine you are fine and this is a pretty damn easy way.
I have Edelbrock headers (switching soon to SLP, hopefully), and i found a very easy way. Take a spark plug wrench socket, go to a machine shop or wherever and have it shaved down to a length of 1 11/16". Using this, with a ratchet and 3/4 socket, I can change ALL my plugs in about 40 mins. My record was 30 mins. I can do all my plugs from the top, except #6 and #8, but even then, those are the EASIEST for me to do. Believe it or not, the passenger side is easier with this shaved down socket.

#7 and 8 are both pretty tough, but if you dont have A/C or smog its a little eaiser. I takes me all of 10 min. to change plugs, of course I've done it a few hundred times, and I can reach all of them from the top too, so that makes it quicker.
