Passenger side spark plugs impossible to reach
Hey there, I've been trying to change my spark plugs on my 305 and the passenger side spark plugs are literally impossible for me to reach from both under and over the car. Driver side took me 15 minutes after jacking it up. There are too many wires, cables, tubes, pipes, and other **** in the way for me to get my big *** hand and a socket in there. I can almost get to the 2 cylinder plug but not enough to remove. the 4, 6, and 8 are literally impossible to get. only thing I can do it remove the plug wires. Any tips?

Buy a '49 Ford
Just get a variety of extensions and wrenches-sorry i can't give much detail, but i don't recall any being too tough way back when my car still had stock exhaust and I was a 140# kid-unusually large hands could cause difficulty...

No suggestions on how to access the plugs however plugs like that which are hard to access, use a high end platinum etc spark plug so that they don't need to be replaced as often.

I have to do those from below, #8 should be accessible from directly under it, I think I have to access #6 by hooking my arm over the engine mount from the front and reaching back to it.

They're easy to get to if you remove the AIR system on that side. I change my spark plugs in 30 minutes, and access all 8 from the top...

I've always done #6 & #8 from below and all others from above. The passenger side plugs are definitely tough, no question. Universal joint and different length extensions help. Didn't remove the tire or wheel well liner, don't see how that would help anyway.

Re: Passenger side spark plugs impossible to reach
There are always ways. On my engine. I break the plugs loose many ways depending on their location. Some are with an offset box end wrench. Some are with a spark plug socket and wrench. A bunch are with swivel sockets.
Not all can be easily spun out. I think there's 3 that can only be removed by putting a rubber hose on the end of the plug then spin the hose which spins the plug to get it out. Reverse the procedure to put them back in. Pulling my plugs for inspection then putting them back in takes about an hour and each one goes into a specific hole because they're all indexed which also takes a lot of time to do. If I don't index my plugs, the dome on the piston will contact the ground strap.
