I have a 1985 trans am with a l69 engine. Putting a compressor in. And everything lines up with the compressor (water pump and crank shaft) but the only piece that doesn’t line up is the power steering pump. I tried finding a diagram but was unsure. Does my compressor belt also go around my power steering?

 

I am not certain on the L69, but the LB9 does route the A/C compressor belt around the P/S pump sheave as well.

The pre-1988 units had a confounding bracket arrangement for the steering pump, including a hidden nut, not-so-fun access to others, and a swing in a strange arc to tension the steering pump belt BEFORE installing and tensioning the A/C belt.
