i was thinking about getting a ZZ4 crate motor for my car. i was just wandering what you think a thirdgen with pretty much stock suspention and zz4 would run 1/4.thanks for the info.

Well, I went to the track yesterday funniuly enough. I have 3.23 rear gears with POSI, K&N open element, shorties, LCA relocation brackets, SSM subframe connectors with my ZZ4.

I managed a best of 13.93 @ 101.26 mph. I wasn't happy with that... I'm thinking the fact that I have brand new Cooper Cobra's (255's) with only 100 miles on them. I couldn't get below a 2.18 60 ft time.

With my 2.73 open diff rear I managed a best of 13.8 @100, that was 2 years ago I seem to be going backwards....

 

i want to be running a 3:73 posi with maybe some slp shorties.
and with MT ET streets. also would a 700r4 hook up to the zz4.

While we are on topic how about a 91 T/A or a 86 Camaro with a ZZ4 bored .30 over with forged pistons, ported heads, auto tranny with a corvette servo and a shift kit, eventually a NOS 75 shot plate system, ram air and 3.73 or 3.10 gears, flowmaster 3 inch exhaust, both cars with A/C detele, smog delete, no catts, rear seats delete.
Anyone know a good time with NOS and one without?

Ok, this is not my car (unfortunately) but here's what he had done to the car, and here's what it ran:

88 Iroc 13.4 @ 101 mph
zz4
stock tpi
2.77 posi
nitto drag radials
2800 vigilante stall and Probuild auto
headers and exhaust

I guess I'm most impressed with the fact that he ran a 13.4 with a 2.77 rearend and stock TPI.

 

the above mentioned car was mine, i just thought i'd reply and answer the nitrous question..

I ran a 12.97 @ 107 with a low 1.90 sixty foot with a 75 shot (nitrous express) with only 600 psi in the bottle..

 

sweet i would be very happy with that. i can't wait till i got the money.:lala:
