84 Trans Am vs Bronco

I think I will whoop him. My car is a stock 84 trans am 305 HO and it's automatic. His car is a stock 93? (maybe 95) Ford Bronco with a 351, 4wd and automatic. He claims that he beat a new camaro V6, but his story is kinda choppy. I'm confident that i will win, we just need to set up a race sometime. Any info on these?

You should win, if hes close to stock,
He'll need more than just a 351 to beat you. That weight and AOD will defeat his purpose

Hey may take you for like the first 10-15 yards if you spin and he has 4wd but after that you should have no problems. Race him and show him that 351 doesnt matter if it's in a heavy vehicle. Good luck.

Hey, it's cool to see another 84 Trans Am on here. I thought these were good for mid 15 sec. quarter miles? I don't know how to post a pic on here, but i have it in readers rides. Would you consider a shift kit a mod? Because I forgot to mention it earlier. I'm not sure what kind it is, because a previous owner installed it. How does that exhaust sound matt? Once I have the money, I might get that

well i ran the 15.9 stock when i didnt have a tune up or anything done to my car
now i did some mods and tweaked with the carb and its running 17's.....so if i get it back running right i think it might b ok

and about the exhaust......well mine seems really quiet....but i think my cat is clogged or something....cuz its just not loud even when i take off the muffler

I think the best shift kit for the 84 T/A's are definently a manual transmission

I think you should take him. My friend owns a full size Bronco and I can take him with ease at half-throttle.
