what do i need to beat
what do i need to beat
ok, so i will give u some backround first. There i sa 17 year kid in my town with a 98 cobra with flows. thats about all. what would i need dont to a LT1 to beat him? he thinks his car is the best and is always trying to act cocky saying things like, i can take your girl whenever i want, but the thing is, hes under 18 so i wont take him into an alley, but i figure i will race him now to show him hes a little B**ch. any comments on what i will need will really help, thanks alot
I think it's a driver's race. I have two friends with a 95 Lt1 camaro and a 97 Cobra. Both have very mild mods and the Cobra is running 13.7's and the LT1 is 14.1's.
But cocky kids can't drive. I've come up upon a few cocky punks in Cobras and beat them by several car lenghts.

well, mine is a 95 LT1 with no emissions, Flowmastercatback, and thats about it for now. I will be doing a LT4 conversion when i get it rebuilt but thats not for another 10,000 miles so i got a few months. it will depend on how i deriv.

I've got a friend who couldn't get his stock 97 Cobra out of the mid 14's forever until he finally learned how to launch it. Immediately knocked his times down into the high 13's.

aren´t these cars a PITA to launch
and isn´t there powerband more mid to upper?
Not all are IRS. 93-98 were solid rear and 99-current are IRS.
Guys serious into dragging sell their IRS and put in a solid rear.
I'd love to put a Cobra IRS in my fox
Yeah, N/A 4.6L DOHC Cobras make their power in the mid to upper RPM range. You kinda gotta drive it like an import and rev the **** outta it. Ford seriously undergeared the N/A Cobra with 3.27's. Most guys toss in 4.10's or 4.56's and knock off a lot of ET with that alone. You really do need to rev the **** outta them. Shifting too low will kill your ET.

na, it didnt have alot of mods, i was going to put some on it, my dad gave me his rs but a few weeks ago i found out that it had a major overheating problem and needed to much money to get running so i sold it to a friend for 300. I think thats what u were talking about. I had alot planned for that but it went to h*ll, but anyway, when i see him again, i will try. I never had a car with lots of mods and was putting it back to stock, that is someone else
