86 IROC-Z vs. 89 IROC-Z

ok, heres the deal. one of the guys my girlfriend just hired has an 89 iroc, i was talking to him about it yesterday and from how he talks it seems pretty fast. Now i have beat every other 305 in town and im thinking this one might be my first real challange. We have beat a lot of the same cars by a lot of the same margins. So heres my question who do you think will win? This are his mods that i know of: Flowmaster exhuast, hedmen headers, filters, and im pretty sure it must have a cam in it, and probably all the free mods. My car is an 86 and these are my mods: Crane 423/446 lift cam, edelbrock headers, hooker cat back, air foil, filters, ported plenum, free mods, and i also have a set of slp runners waiting to go on. So who do you think will win, i hope i can beat him but from what ive heard his car is pretty quick. If our cars are equal, i think u could had it to me in the driving department b/c ive been driving about 2 yrs longerr than him, so what do u guys think?

To close to tell, but it looks like it's going to be a driver race. The better driver.............wins.

Congrats on the win. I guess you're still the fastest 305 in your town.

nice kill. Your car is coooooooool. I wish my 305 could be that fast. I gotta work out low end tranny and carb problems first. Top end is good though. Nice job.

Well i dont really think its fast, but thanks on the compliments. Ive taken it to the local 1/8th mile but all i did was spin and i ended up with a 9.7, but i had a 2.35 60 ft. I either had to softly roll into it, or hit it and have the tires light up. Both yeilded about the same 60ft. Im getting some good z rated tires next spring. As well as putting on my slp runners, some roller rockers and porting my heads. I think i could run a 9.45 now(if i had traction), so im shooting for an 8.9-9.0 next spring. Wish me luck
