Q about new mustangs

Im not a fan of mustangs or anything and i dunno if this is the right forum to ask but im just curious about something. i see some new mustangs at a ford dealer near my house with "360R" lettering on the side. im just curious to know, are they making 'em now with a 360 size engine or is this something totally unrelated? what the heck does the 360R mean.

I think it's a special edition Mustang. It's 2AM and i'm drunk so can't remember if it was a Kenny Brown, a Steeda or a Roush Mustang. The 360 in it refers to 360HP. It's stil got a 4.6 in it

Someone will help me out with the correct tuner that makes the 360R

Never seen a 360R but I've seen a few 380R's, Roush makes them. They're supercharged and are making 380 hp. The ones I saw were painted similar to the old GT 350 and 500's. Funny thing is they cost like $10,000 more than a Cobra but make about the same power.

oh i see. so in other words, nothing special

i'd like to see ford try and achieve that kinda HP minus the blower.

If the still had the pushrod 5.0 they could easily pull those numbers, but stupid them went OHC!!! The 360R might be a Steeda if I remember correct and yes the 360 is the hp, not the engine size. I am not a huge fan of factory supercharging but you cant deny the power these cars are making, and the potential with little bolt-ons.

I think he meant that about the 4.6, and the FR500 uses a 5.0 4V engine

yep. i'm not doggin on these cars. i agree they're making a lot of power and i'd love to have the same amount under my hood. but the new mustangs are cars that should be all muscle without the help of a blower IMO. they didn't need it years ago. now that they're new technology should allow for them to be even faster by engine alone. that's why i asked about the 360 cuz i thought they had put an even bigger engine in there. that to me would've been impressive.

anyways it's all good. as long as it's american and fast, i'll respect it.
