killed a Del Sol
alright, i got my new motor working and everything so i decided to cruise the streets of warner robins after work @ 2am. i find this guy in a Del Sol. stickers, wheels, fatcan exhaust, the works....so he is like c'mon! alright, whatever. my setup:700r4/3.73's, 310cid, .442i/.465e, aluminum roller rockers, holley 600, 9.5:1compratio, headman lt's going through moroso spiral muffs. yeah, it sounds mean as hell....so i figured, why not...i am new to the motor, i had a v6 in the car before and didn't know how much to throttle to give. he drops the clutch as i just kinda ease into it. he is way in front of me, so i drop into second and hammer it. i flew by him like he was standing still. holy crap! needless to say, he didn't mess with me a whole lot at the next light...it was so funny, i coulda beat him with the v6 still in the car...

Yeah there is a guy here in my town that drives one of those clown mobiles. He has 8g's in the exterior alone. He has an exhaust, cold air intake, plugs and wires and that it. He think he can whoop anyones *** granted he has a 100 shot of nitrous. WHen I get the five speed dropped in he is gonna see what power is aobut and I only have a stock 1979 smgger engine the one with like 8:1 compression and horrible heads.
But hey man Very Good Kill.

Dude its always commendible when you show peopel like that, that while third gens tend to be slow (not all, especially around here, but most out there) that most of their cars are slower. Besides del sols just look gey. Any man driving one should be shot, or castrated, which ever they prefer.

I just recently beat a del sol too. he stayed with me until i shifted into second, then I just started putting distance between us. I hate all hondas, and not one has beat me yet.

got another tonight! looked to be a 2000 or new honda accord. he had rims and a fartcan, but no stickers....i got onto the interstate heading just two exits up, he comes up behind me all revvin' his motor and stuff.(i could barely here it over my own...) he drops it, i ease into it and catch up to him, look over at him, he hammers it again, i drop it to second and hammer it, didn't take long to get around him, then i let off....he buzzes by and i exit...too easy man....i don't think i will be wasting much more precious gas on these stupid imports....

It takes guts to race anything in a del sol. I drove one a long time ago and I could barely get it up to 55, about 1/4 mile past the end of the on ramp. Even a mid 90's v6 stang would kill one.

haha. Was it V-Tech? They are probably decent on the highway with the v-tech, but they are definitely slow. Mid 90's V6 stangs are a joke.

My buddies exgirlfriend had a VTEC deslow and swore it was fast and furious. When we raced from a stopI put about 3 cars on her in 1st gear, and then 2 more while I spun through 2nd...I had to almost stop then so she could get in frone of me (her lane was about to end and I was following her to the party) and when she passed me she was still at full blast at 9000rpm, burnin ****. Oh yeah, and she thinks she beat me
because her car has the topend
because her car has the topend
