Finally, got my first race in the IROC since last fall.

An LS1 Camaro SS (clean and nice looking car) pulls up in the lane next to me at the light. He looks over and I point ahead. He nods, we start off slow and then I punch it at about 15 mph, he nails it too. I look back at around 65 mph and he's about 5 cars back and shutting it down.

Fun race, wish I would have been in the Trans Am for that one though, would have been a better race. Can't wait for spring to really get here!

He was cool about it, asked what I had done at the next light and I complimented his car. Think I surprised him though.

my GF had a race that went something like that in her 94 Formula. she put about 4 lengths on an unsuspecting LS1 Z right outta the hole! they shut down at about 100mph and he had only gained one of those 4 lost lengths back.

Thanks. I'm looking to either HIGHLY mod the LS1 or get a 68 Charger and build it up. I built the IROC to be a nice daily driver, but ended up getting the LS1 for that and then got my wife a new car and we still have her old driver. I need to get rid of a car or 2 and I just want something more radical and a lot faster for my weekend car. It kills me to think this car might be gone though after wasting people on the street, it really is a nice street brawler. Comes out of the hole quick.

Naw, he said it was stock, no way a stock LS1 runs 112 mph or better. LS1's do pull nice up top though, I know

I go to Milan every now and then. 3 times last year, twice with the IROC and once w/ the T/A. I'll probably go more this year now that we have an F-body club around here and more people to go with. I also want to try Norwalk, I hear the track prep is much better there and that it'd be close to running 11's there as it is now.

If you're going to the track, send me a PM or look for the car, if it's still around by then. I'll keep an eye out for your car.

yeah I am at the dragway alot seems how its in my town. I run my car every now and then, but to no surprise, im in the 16s, but I have fun doing it!

Yeah I will look for your car whenever I am at the track this year, I should be there alot as a few of my friends have done various things to their cars

99 stang- v6- 4.6 swap with 5spd.
96 neon- tons of custom work, looks stock, ran with an LT1 2 weeks ago.
