Just cause someone's got a fast car, doesn't mean they know how to drive it!

Good kill. I wouldnt of been afraid. YOur car should be a mid 14 sec car. His is a convert so around same where u are. Convertibles are heavier then the reg hard top. I think you still could put a challnege on him. if your car is runnin with good tune

And say if you did loose. You wouldnt loose by much. Couple Car lengths or so

look at it this way, you win and he just got beat by a 15 year old car that costs about as much as he prolly pays in insurance. If you lost, then you just lost to a brand new car, that goes for more than what yours cost new. Hmmmm, Ill stick with age and vintage over new stuff that can hardly last 100k miles

Mine went 14.1 @ 97MPH bone stock

WHy does driving a new Gt convertible mean the guy is rich? You can buy a used '03 GT vert for about 20K. Nothing high dollar these days.

Now if he was in a Cobra Convertible, then it's a rich man's car at 40K.

nah a rich man car is deff a Vette or a Porsche. (2 top ones around my area) Ever since the 80s Vette have been the "RICH MAN" car. Vettes back in 86 L98 vette were costin 30 thousands dollars! That was alot for back then (hell even now its pretty pricey) Now you look at a c2 or c1 those were 2000-3000 range. Was alot back then , but what im hearin ton of kids could afford them and rebuilded them. My vote is on a Porsche or Vette for RICH MANs Sport car

Hell Most ppl I see that drive Newer Mustangs are teens or there 20s. I really never see old guys drive em (unless thery were the old Antique Stangs, when they really made Mustangs for real) Most of the kids around here are rich and own 2000+ Mustangs. One kid even ownz a Cobra.

I wouldnt call 14's fast. Not in this day and age. With all the money and technology today, 13 second street cars are becoming common.

In a way i aggree and in another way i disagree... First of all yes, the avg sport car is running 13s. But also 14 second cars would pretty much dominate most cars on the road. The avg car runs 15s and up.. So you gotta give some credit for 14 second cars esp the older ones (like a 5.0 Mustang/ 5.7 350 TPI and the 5 speed 305 91-92) Without out those cars, FORD and Chevy wouldnt have Performance cars like they do now. Without the L98, there prob wouldnt be no Lt1 or Ls1

I agree with you 100%. Its good to see older fox-stangs and thirdgens running in the 14's or faster. I just mean a lot of the cars coming out are a lot quicker than that. Ive seen a few LS1 equipped fourth-gens dip into the high 12's with no more than a set of DR's or slicks. That was my only point. I just get a kick out of some of the younger "kids" out on the road. If they run 14.999, they think they have the fastest car on the road. There is always someone out there who is faster.
