Beat by a Mustang

Well i was cruising around, and a fox body comes up beside me two lanes over, we START to catch a light. Anyhow light turns greeen just as I stop and momentum makes me its biznatch. He decks it, and it screamed (Be wary of the ones with primer paintjobs i guess), I mash it and my tranny doesnt downshift from 2nd to 1st (WTF?!) so I have to stay even, he hits third and starts pulling a bit, I hit 3rd and he puts about a car and a half on me and I see brake lights so i let off (at about 70mph). I wish we coulda went from an actual dig, but oh well. Sometimes you lose I guess, time to hook up the nitrous I guess

Yes. It runs low 15's. Now anyway. Best 1/8 mile was a 10 flat without tuning, in hot weather. It's slightly better tuned now, I've put a few cars on 5.0's before, the stock kind

His v6 is pretty quick I would never doubt it agaist a stock AOD 5.0. Man maybe I need to put a V6 in mine so that I can get 5.0's to race me. I pull up next to them all the time and never get any attention. Maybe because of the mad rumble from my exhaust/cam, my fat 275x60 tires, and my beat up sleaper look. Oh well maybe one day I will get one to race me instead of all these cocky modded Ls1's rollin around here.

Nice run, sounds like the car is running pretty good for a 3.4.

Not all 5.0s are modded, I saw a LOT of bad drivers in stock 5.0s at the event this weekend! A few were in the 15s and even some in the 16s (yes 16s ouch). All in all you can tell a good driver and well kept car from a bad driver and unkept car!

Hehe, well not against my 5.0 AOD. It ran 14.7 bone stock.

But yeah, most AOD cars are low 15's and slower.

And mine ain't stock anymore! :lala:
