Fun times!
Last night at the track, I ran my RS once again, ended up beating my cousins V8 S10, barely but his still needs a tune-up...Thing got me by liek a car off the line but he doesnt shift, truck needs a tune up bad, and he using that damn Torker 2 intake. anyways, decent night at the track, smoked this little hatchback Honda badly lol....he had a big Tach, A-Pillar pods, and a K&N filter...lol, he needs a quicker ride I think. anyways, track was fun and was ognna hit the street races but cops were a bit thick so I decided against it.
Today, I went to some stores, just lookin around and stuff and stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries. So, Im coming home and Im just getting to a stoplight when I see this black Civic in my Passenger mirror. So Im sitting there, hes got his window down and I almost laughed when I saw this goofy looking guy. He's over there, hangin out his window, revving the hell out of his car, smirking. So, I think "Why the hell not?". I put it in Neutral, rev the Camaro up a bit and put it in drive and look over and give the nod. So, he turns back to look at the light and as Im about to turn around, he takes off and I look up, GREEN!. So, he has like 2-3 cars on me, I hear the Fart Cannon and I mash the gas, eat some tire and grab hard, the Camaro comes flying out liek a bat outta hell. Car hits Second and Im on his butt....Hits 3rd and I see him about 3-4 cars back lol. So, next light, He's like "Howd you beat me man? All you got is a weak V6?"
I smile and say, "Whoever said anything about a V6.....V8 all here man."
"Well, my buddy has a 95 RS and his is only a V6!"
" Well pal, this is a 92....which means a Third Gen, which means alot of RS's had V8's!"
Man Im smiling like crazy by now. Dude, rolls his window up and meekly pulls away when it turns green. I decide Ill play with him before I turn off to go home.....I get beside him, rev it taunting him and he gets all mad and dumps his clutch....course I just go on and go WOT and leave him again....lol, then I turn off and go home. Fun day indeed, I might have to go to the Street Races and race some punk like him lol.

thats how alot of parts get a bad name someone that doesnt know how or what they are doing when working on an engine throw a part on because it sounds cool to say to their buddies or they saw one on a car at the track or in a magazine and then come on here and start saying its junk dont buy it because it didnt give them any gains all it did was make them loose power...LOL..

The torker2 is rated for 2500-6500. I run it on mine, with a properly matched cam, and it pulls hard all the way to just under 7k. It actually is a very short intake. Its a considerable amount shorter than a performer RPM. I am able to run it with a 14 x3 cheapo summit chrome cleaner and a 1407 edelbrock. It still has 3/4 inch clearance. Like I said above, when matched properly its not bad, not the best, but not bad.

. I usually only race imports, because that's the majority of people who race around here (aside from the track). 8 outta 10 are usually driven by some young kid, who either can't drive, or lacks the right motor. The other 2 are either turbo, or B series swaps (seen a few H22's though). I always wait and see what their exhaust note sounds like before I race a Honda/Acura product. The B series have a distinctive rev (nothing like the non-VTEC). I can hang with the B16 swapped cars, but the GSR motors seem to put a few on me usually. I know a guy making 179 hp to the wheels on a b18 with hedder, catback and cam gears (cost him 100 bux for a tune!). He put 3 on mer in the 1/4...sux. He won't run me with my spray though.

OK, well, its not my fault his truck is out of tune. I know itll beat me if we give it a tune up, maybe get it a Vac. Adv. dist., and I get behind the wheel(Im a way better driver than him). As for the Honda, I truly doubt they have only 68 horses, Their base HP is more around 110-130. I wouldnt have raced if he hadnt made such a big deal out of it. Stu, maybe you need to act like a r!cer or something man...maybe you scared everyone off?lol
As for "flying like a bat outta hell" I was comparing it to how quickly I caught up with him, not how fast my car is. I know my little LO3 is weak but its still fun to drive. As for my times, 10.2's all night, nothing special, I havent modded the car in like 2-3 months. Exhaust would help
The Torker 2 may not be a bad intake but this motor isnt really built THAT good. It performed better when it had the RPM Air Gap intake. He keeps trying to get my Vic Jr. off me but I just dont believe it will work any better on that motor. It may not even be the intake, could be just a tune up, dont know. Just gotta Test and Tune it, to make it work right. We'll see.

Actually there is a 95 RS model, I have an neighbor that has one. RS emblems and all. Its widely known as the base model but it is still an RS....sad, the RS went from a big name (RS/SS) in 69 to a base model, low end performance model after it returned in the late 80's.

Lets leave the poor Nova out of this one.....72, gret year for the Nova.....82, I swear it could be mistaken for a Chevette or something of an econobox car.
TBI92Camaro, how in the world do you get to race so many people? I mean, I have only raced 2 people in the last 5 months, and I wouldn't mind a little step on the throttle every now and then. I have raced an 87 base firebird, and a dodge stealth, at no more than 55 mph. I guess either no one really notices a black car, or no one really cares about a stock lb9 m5, i know i don't. But, a 15 second car that costed 600 bucks ain't bad I think. By the way, good job with the wins, after all, your tbi did fly out like a bat out of hell
