i thought about getting the S/R World Product heads for the 305 and going up to a 650 holley
the rear has 3.42 with an auburn pro series posi trac
i dont think there is an all motor 305 running in the 12s yet is it??
i figure with the head swap and the three piece pulley set and 650 it should turn a 13.40??
the mods now pushed it barely into the 13s but i figure if i do the head swap then i could put a chigger bigger cam in it too so maybe, just maybe i can put the ole 305 into the 12s at 100+ mph
wouldnt that be some shiznik

not bad for a 305!
hopefully mine will be there shortly... since im selling my GN, alls i have left to play with is my old LG4 Z28. 14s shouldnt be too far away for me
one thing i would change on your setup is those flowtech headers. 1.5" primaries are probably too small for the power youll be producing with the new heads. id at least step up to something like 1 5/8" hedman LTs or something

Seems like a lot of work and effort to crack a high 13. Should have gone with a 5.0 Mustang, bolted on some gears, and ET Streets and gone 13.9s!
Very nice times for the little 305. We had one at our track a while back, running low 14s. The only thing was the car was a race car. Big slicks, no exhaust, gutted, all out race car and wasnt even touching 13s (it was a warm day out)!

If you're confident you can get it down to 13.4 or 13.3 with a head/cam/carb swap... then lighten the load as well. Fiberglass hood, notch, doors (while relocating the battery to the rear) should do the trick.
