Beat a VW..

Was hangin out with some friends and this one kid kept talkin smack so I said lets run em... Hes got an 89' VW Golf 1.8 SOHC/5-speed with a cold air intake and a cherry-bomb muffler. Ive got an 86' 2.8 V6/auto Ram air gutted cat and slightly ported plenums. He sat inside while I got my car warmed up and after it was I did a nice little one legger. He can outside saying it was weka and Id lose. We lined em up and I did one of those foot brake things and got it up to about 1100, He revved up to about 4K and when the hands dropped we both took off. We stayed pretty even till about 40mph then I started pulling slightly I think for how much he talked it was a pretty good kill for me.

Nice kill, those 1.8 OHC's are pretty quick. Sounds like a good match.

16's would be a compliment. Try high 17's and 18's.

Firebird, be careful which one you pick on. My GLI is close to 13's with a few boltons. And I know a BUNCH that are big turbos. One is about 500whp.

If its a 2.0, dont even run him. Not worth the gas, 1.8T will surprise the hell out of you, depending if he has anything done. VR6's run pretty good, but take alot of money to mod. So the odds of it being very fast are extremely slim.

I don't think it's all that. He supposedly has a honda that's pretty fast, but I haven't seen it. I'd much rather have him stop and allow me to beat him with my ball bat then my firebird
