Pulled new Porsche?

Just played with a new Porsche last night.Nothing serious.Ran it from 30-70mph.I just let off real quick.I thought is was a 911 non-turbo before I smoked it but it seemed to small.I think it was turbo but it was like a baby 911.Thats the only way I can describe it.It was a hard top.I didn't see the back so I couldn't see a name.I know it wasn't a boxster because I have raced them before and they are slow without the turbo and not to fast with it.I would say it might be a low 14 second car.It might beat a stock LT-1 or 2000 GT but that was just from a roll.I pulled it pretty hard.Does this ring any bells?I have no idea what this car was.Does Porsche make a new body style boxster this year?

The Cayman is the new Boxter and should run around 13.5 at 108. The car is very well set-up right out of the door.

Yeah, its the cayman, doesn't look exactly like a 911, but it deff has the lines of a porsche. Very attractive car.

I wouldn't think that car would run 13.5 but maybe he doesn't know how to drive it yet.My freinds bullit runs 13.5 and puts up a better fight. Also, next weekend I will be going to the 1/8mile track.

I wasn't sure I'd like the rear styling at first, but I agree, very hot. Have you heard one yet? They sound awesome. Nice and growly.

A car like the Cayman is easier to drive badly IMO. Porsches get a pretty high specific output, so they're a little peakier than your average domestic muscle. So if someones driving a Bullit and in the wrong gear, it'll still pull harder than someone in a Cayman in the wrong gear. IMO at least. A lot of Porsche owners are weenies and afraid to rev their (new) car, which is where the real power is to be found. It's not a 1.6L VTEC, but it definitely prefers the right half of the tach.

The Cayman is essentially a coupe variant of the Boxster, but it's not the "new" Boxster as that car remains in both standard and "S" form. You can't get either version of the Boxster, or the Cayman for that matter, with a turbo. Just different sized 6 cylinder engines. The Cayman is a low 13 second 1/4 mile car by the way. Where any of these cars really shines though is their pin sharp handling and super stiff chassis....awesome grip and very chuckable in the corners. A quantum leap forward from the flexible flyer chassis of a thirdgen.
