I beat an 02 eclipse in my 92 firebird formula. I am all stock with 305 tpi and the eclipse had a new motor dropped in it and it was modded. I also had 4 people in the car and we were pulling out of a parking lot when the eclipse blew by us and i stepped on the gas and passed him by like 8 car lengths. He caught up to us at a red light and we raced again. He got the jump but he was not ahead for long i Finally got ahead once I shifted into 2nd and blew him away by alot. I dont by how many car lengths but he was pretty far behind.

 

what mods because i just read a post where a guy with a 355 got beat bad by a modded 95 eclipse

 

I asked the kid in school the next day and he said he put a new motor in it and changed everything. It is turbocharged with nitrous and he said his top speed is 166mph.

 

then i would have to call or the kid cant drive if your all stock

 

I also would say i smell

 

well i know the 02 aren't as fast as the gst or gsx especially the 4clylinder but 02's also offered a 6 cylinder, none came stock with turbos but i got freakin romped by that thing and i'm pushing about 300-320hp (the 95 gsx i posted a few posts ago)

 

02s arent fast at all not even the V6s theyre a bunch of pigs ive driven both kinds and my little LO3 stock could beat up on one of those real easily. now when you start talking about the older 1st 2nd gens gsx, gst thats when youll have a hard time which you wouldnt have won if it was. also i hear the new 4th gens are pretty quick stock. but 4th gens you raced just have nothing period.

its probably stock unless he has the usual intake,exhaust combo it def was not turbo or nitrous you wouldve been walked on easily even if the worst driver

Pretty much. Third Gen Eclipse = Sucks my *****, your *****, and your mother's *****.

First and second gens are the ones you'll have to worry about. Everything that retard told you was fabricated. The only thing custom about his car are the stories he tells about it.

On a side note John Shepard just made a pass of 7.81 in his Talon with all factory body panels but the hood and rear hatch. He has a car seat in it and drives his kid around town in the car.
