2.8 camaro vs. 3.8 t-bird
yeah my friend wants to race me this summer he has an 1992 3.8 thunderbird. my car is a 2.8 camaro. Also it will be at the track on the 1/4 mile.
his car:
-copletley stock 3.8 thunder bird,
-pretty good shape with only 70,000.
-completley stock.
-Auto
My Car:
2.8
-heads ported/polished-new hi performance springs/lock/retainers
-1.6 rockers
-delta custom grind cam
-all new 15/lbs fuel injectors
-intake mild port/polish job
-100 wet shot nitrous
-headers with true dual 2-1/4 exhaust with dyno bullets
-Automatic with b&m shift kit

The 05 may give you some trouble, the 90's won't. I would race either one of them with your setup, worst thing that can happen is you lose.

Axle/Gears: 14 bolt with 3.07 gears
Be warned though, some of the 3.8s are supercharged and will kill a 2.8 F-car.

Assuming stock stall and 3.23 gears I could see it managing low 15's high 14's. 4.10's may be overkill but hey give it a try, just make sure to mod your trans to shift into OD at WOT and spring for some stickier tires.

haha yeah, ive probally spent to much money on just a little bitty v6. but ive had the car since i was 15 and could never part with out it. or its little bitty motor.

you shouldnt be a problem
94-98 v6 stangs run mid 16s shouldnt be a problem
99-04 v6s run mid to high 15s,
05+s run low 15s
