First off i know there not fast and neather am i. My car has run a best of a 13.9 with the 305 but it isn't running good atm.

I just finished putting some trick springs in my car. Was sitting at a red light and wanted to c how much they lift when i stall it up. So i did and it barley cirped the tires b4 i let off. The light turns green and i leave like normal. I look in my rearview mirror and c a new titan slaming on his brakes behind me and almost rearends me. I droped it in first and stomped it. Started sliding back and forth and i was gone.

So i turn down my road and the titan follows me. He floors it and tryes to pass me, when he was at my door i droped it in 2nd and left him like he was standing still. I let off around 60 and he was way to many cars behind me but he stayed on it. When he finaly caught up to me his girlfriend was hanging out the window waving at me lol. I geuss he was mad because he never let off and just took the next turn.

 

They run about 15.6 @ 88 or so in the 1/4 mile.

 

just saw one last night, 15.5 at 88, experienced driver. runs exactly like my ol' lo3 car, same mph and et. probably a fun truck to drive.

 

I drove many of them daily when I worked for Nissan. The Armada SUV is only about 1/2 second slower in the 1/4 mile.

 

wow, but don't they weigh quite a bit more? i seriously love nissan, my lil ka24 in my truck is tough as they come. stock that motor comes with a crank main bearing girdle, oil squirters underneath the pistons, and shaft mounted rocker arms. that motor is probably good for 7000 rpm's, too bad it doesn't come with a d*mn tachometer!!

 

I was going to say mid high 15s...

 

They have a little power to them but they sure didn't feel as fast as my 5.3L. I'm gonna say mid 15's/low 16's.

 

speaking of those 5.3's. my ol boss had one in a short bed 2001 silverado, that thing got up and went! i bet it's alot cheaper then an ls1 for 4/5th's of the performance. i wouldn't mind putting one of those with a 4l60e in the camaro

 

Well they're pretty good engines, i've seen them make 300hp at the wheels in a truck with boltons, short tube headers, and a dyno tune. I'd still go after an LS1 or an LS2 for a car though. The 5.3 in my truck was alright, but on the stock tune they're pretty weak, as are the trannies.
