Another "What's it going to run?"

Just want to see what you guys think my car will run in the 1/4 mile. The car is a 91 Z28 with a five speed. Mods are as follows: 355 with 9.8 to 1 compression, ZZ4 cam, stock L98 heads set up to work with the cam, 1.5 aluminum roller rockers, edelbrock headers, slp cat back, edelbrock base with slp runners, plenum is match ported to runners, aluminum flywheel, centerforce clutch, aluminum drive line, eaton posi, and 3.73 gears. The car is not tuned yet, but will have a good tune befour I run it down the 1/4. I would be happy with mid to high 13's on the motor(also has nitrous). So what do you think?

i have a zz4 crate motor with a hsr and t56, best time was a 13.1 (run by previous owner), so that should give you an idea, same cam (zz4), alum flywheel, maunal car, i dont know what gears were in it for the 13.1, but they were numerically lower than 3.42's, same compression, same heads only mine are aluminum, i have long tubes and a 3" exhaust and no cats

high thirteens if you know how to launch it. I bet you could get mid 13's on the nitrous easy.

I took the car to the track alot with the stock motor. Got a 14.5 out of it on a new set of tires. That was with the stock 3.42 gears, cat back exhaust, and the centerforce clutch(probably didn't help).

I`d guess low 13`s.Just a guess.Depends on the tune.Your combo is a little better than mine and I get mid 8`s in the 1/8.Tune is not dialed in yet.Thats "supposed" to be mid to low 13`s in the 1/4.Never run on a 1/4 track. You should get low 13`s with good traction.

If he runs that then he should sell the car. I was running 13.80's all day long with some bolt-ons(completely stock motor).

Re: Another "What's it going to run?"

my two cents, i'd say mid 13's with a close flat 13 on the bottle, but i guess that depends on the NO2 shot? hell you could go high 12's on the bottle depending on the shot and how you can drive

ps: my 100th post lol, just thought id throw that in haha

Re: Another "What's it going to run?"

Right now it's a 100 shot of N2O, but I have the jets to bump it up to a 150 shot. I think the 150 shot would put it in the high 12's if it hooks up. The way the car sits now it dosen't even hook up in second gear off the bottle. To much gear and old tires. Kind of fun to drive that way though.

My friends going to run his car down the 1/4 this weekend. That will give me a idea of where I stand. His car runs almost dead even with mine(without the bottle).

Re: Another "What's it going to run?"

Ok, so I ran my friends car (me off the bottle). With the crappy tires I have on the car it's dead even. He took his car to the track, and ran a 13.7. My car isn't tuned yet. With a tune and a set of drag radials it's got to run at least a 13.5, probably even low 13's on the motor. I'm pretty happy with that.
