This happened last fall in September I think.

I was driving back from my home town about an hour away with my girlfriend.

It was about 1 in the morning and a nice night. I get off the highway and pull up to a light a couple minutes later. No cars around.

Then I notice a nice lookin fairly new honda with body kit and everything redone on the outside. Looked nice.

So light turns green and well I wasnt expecting a race but I hear his tires squeal and he takes off. So I step on it and couple seconds later I fly by him.

I pull up to another red light and a little later so does he and this time im ready.

I look over and hes just looking straight and his gf is laughing

Light turns green and I light em up and leave them to choke on the smoke. He didnt even wanna try.

Kinda sucks you didn't expect a race (hate them kind of races). Are they even races if you're unaware of the situation? lol. Agreed, keep it safe. Glad ya put them back in check. Those honda owners sure like to get ballsy at times *sigh*

Eh I didnt know, but I still embarrassed him. He wasnt as bad as some of these stories Ive read on here. I could understand if he just wanted to do it for fun(Ive gone against 2010 charger on the highway haha). He just didnt give me a heads up that he wanted to go.

 

ive beat hondas and ive been smoked by hondas....the rice always looses..but there are some real tuners and sleepers sometimes u gotta be aware off....but never be scared give it ur best always....

 

I agree about the surprise races. Those are the only races that ever happen around here. It seems about everytime I'm in my moms mustang if someone wants to race they will rev there engine up so you if they want to race. However when I am in the Camaro people will just be sitting at the light and all of a sudden take off. Most of the time when this happens the car isnt even a sports car or a tuner so you dont expect it, it will be a sedan of some sort. But, I dont know maybe people do rev at me but I just dont hear them over the rumble of my engine.

You know what else I hate is when you find another sports car to race and they dont want to. For instance I was driving along and pulled up next to this guy in a rusty '65 mustang and tried to get him to race. So I reved at him and stuff and finally just gave up and drove off. Then there was another time on that exact same street where I pulled up on a Delorean! I was reving at them and stuff but they wouldnt do it. Maybe I should have yelled "Lets see what happens when you hit 88!" maybe that would have gotten them going?

 

Some people are just cocky, or think they need a head start haha.

However sometimes we just want to cruise so you cant get mad at them all.
Seems like you always want to go haha
