16.8??????

It seem that I can't post on the original thread.16.8 is what I got with a lg4 that had a spun bearing(in my formula).I did power tune it though. That was with a lathargic 1.019 rt. My 400 has more power at 1/4 throttle than the lg4.Lets put it this way,I just tore up a s10 extreme.I did it idling in overdrive(don't they run about 16.8?).I just finished the motor and can't give it wot yet.But at half throttle it feels like a rocket.I will be at gateway int. in 2 weeks and will find out.I love others input though. Is this just too exotic of a swap to calculate?

Your reaction time will not affect your ET. Your elapsed time starts when your tires rollout of starting beam. Reaction time is the time it took you to rollout of the beam after the last yellow light. .500 being a perfect light on most full trees and .400 on pro start ( all three yellows at once)trees.

Thanks for pointing that out. my biggest fear is to look stupid at the track.Do you think they'll look at me funny if I pull around the traction stuff they lay down(I have street tires). And what do you think i'll run in the 1/4?

Street tires will hurt you.I have drag radials and ran 15.01 on hot and humid night. Will probably be at gateway tonight.

I've been to gateway on race day one time. But how does the saturday test and tune work. What time do they open?I don't have money for drag radials now though.I did manage to "ok" w/ the street tires. Will they let me run slicks in street class. What do you think my 6.6 tpi will get?I will for sure be there the weekend after this one. What do you drive ,it would be nice to see ya there.

On a hot day (REALLY hot in Southern California) I ran a 15.26 spinning the wheels pretty bad until about halfway thru 2nd on the way to 3rd. Don't remember the speed of the run. I have a 87 Z28 w/ 5-speed and I am sure I could get down to 15 flat, MAYBE 14.9 or so if I could stop the damn wheelspin. (I wish I knew what everything was the previous owner did to the engine, but it hauls - I think a new cam, plus cat-back)

No garuntee, results are not typical, void where prohibited :-)

They will let you run whichever tire you want. Test and tune is wednesday and friday nights. Saturday night is real bracket racing. They won't drag race the 22nd-26th because of an indy race. But the next week the will drag race wed.,fri.,sat., and sun.

It's only $8 to go and watch. I went sunday they started at 8am, got there at 2pm and got in free cause no one was working the gate anymore and watched the quarterfinals until the end.
