Engine: 421 stroker
Transmission: 350 Turbo
Axle/Gears: 3:73
How bad would I lose?
This guy wants to race me in a 69' Camaro, His car has a 427 big block with ported and polished heads.. He has a 1050 dominator on top of a edelbrock intake. He has a 3500 stall with 3:73 gears in it. His bottom end is stock. My car is a 88" camaro with a 421 stroker motor with a 350 transmission with a 3500 stall. It consist of a cola crankshaft, h beam 6' rods, It has 308/312 nitrous solid roller cam. I have airflow heads with a super victor intake, On top is a holley 830 hp. carburetor, with 3:73 gears. This guy is really trying to get me to race him. Before I race him, do anyone think I have a chance of winning?

its up in the air. his car could be anywhere from high 9's to high 11's. just race him and find out. if i had to choose, i'd say that he has the better chance, considering he has bigger heads and more carb. that is assuming that his 427 can take advantage of the extra breathe.

airflow heads what cfm? i wanna say it'd be a close race and give the edge to you. but what size are your heads?

Run him anyways..I dont think ti will be too bad of a loss if you hook well.You can always give it a small shot of juice to to even the playing field for 1 pass.Id rather a good close race and lose..than either driver losing by freight trains.

What's the point of racing if you already know the outcome? Say, "None."
Run him. Sounds like you're relatively in his league. Even if you lose, there's no shame, the point of racing is for one to win and one or more to lose.

I have a Nitrous motor and I'm going to spray him. He thinks that my car is just a camaro with a cam in it. I'm going to race him, because I really don't think he'll win.

I told him today that I was ready, but he started saying that his car is messed up. I'm going to race him though!

He knows that I have a nitrous motor. At first he was saying that I can spray him, but today when I told him that I was ready. Now he's saying that his car is messed up. I don't know! I'm ready!
