Here goes agian:

I was wondering if any of the guys on this board would admit to losing to a mustang. I know it sounds like the start of a flame war, but I really hope it doesn't turn into that.

I merely wanted to see if some of the guys here would be willing enough to post a lose to a mustang.

I will start by saying that my first time at the track put me up against a 1969 Firebird and I got my butt handed to me. He went 13.4 to my first ever run of 14.92. I'll admit that I was beat, but I enjoyed it and his car sounded really nice.

I hope you guys can post losses just as well as you post wins and I also hope no flames start.

I've lost to a couple LT1's, a few LS1's, more Mustangs than I can even begin to count. Lost to an M3, Ferrari 360 Modena, couple hemi powered cars, and then I've lost to a whole ton of stuff at the dragstrip ranging from Mustangs, Camaro's, Firebird's, Nova's, and just about anything else you can think of.

I'll admit to losing to a 80s something 5.0 one night when I was racing on V-street. And this was when I was running my Paxton. This B**ch was fast. Looked like a stock LX. He said the only thing had was " A cobra intake and a little cam",yeah right.

This was back before I realized I could downshift into 2nd at 55 mph by dropping the shifter down into 1 so I just left it in drive and he pretty much enhilated me, but I was honored :hail:

I lost to a couple mustangs when I was stock. Nothing else, though. I've beaten a lot of rice rockets, a lot of friends cars, and just some other random ones I forget the next day. I always lose to my brother in his camaro, unless it's a very short race. I always get him off the line(my r/ts are a lot better) so Im ahead of him until 60 or so. These are just street races of course. 1/4 mile I'll always lose. The only races I've lost at the track were against him. He likes to do grudge matches for some reason, I guess he likes having videos of both of our cars. I did beat a honda last time by four seconds, though.

ive never lost to anything on the street, mostly cause ive only had about 3 or so street challenges. At the track ive lost to alot of stuff, mostly 60s and 70s muscle cars running 11s and such. My first time to the track i lost to a 87-93 Mustang. He ran a 14.1 to my 14.3. Theres a supercharged 96-98 Mustang running around my area that im trying to race. ill probably lose that one, but it would be a cool looking race!

One day at a light this Mustang pulls next to me. Fat tires out back, skinnies, bunch of stickers on rear hatch about 30 (looked dumb) 4" cowl hood, Tach w/shift lite. I knew I would lose. So we both take off normal, and I just gave it gas to see what he had, he was gone, like 30 lengths. I heard later from a friend that car runs 10s. Guess he let off or it would have been 50 lengths.

Yeah, I've lost to a Mustang. It was a late 80's one. The guy pulled up next to me and asked if I wanted to race because he thought it'd be a close one. I told him he'd toast me and he looked at me funny. We raced, he spanked me, and afterwards asked if it was a real IROC or not. I guess he doesn't know what an LG4 is....

The problem with slapping a 3" Hooker Cat Back exhaust on before I've really dug into the engine too deeply is that my car SOUNDS like it runs at least 13's......but it run's a 15.5.

I raced a late 80's GT one night over a highway overpass and he got the jump on by like a nose and we were side by side the whole way . His car sounded good. He was a cool guy.

On the way back from a dyno day a Mustang came up behind me in my 95 and my friend was in his 88 IROC. I tried for alittle while and I was in the lead but then I just wanted to slow down because of traffic. Well they kept going and my friend stuffed the stang pretty good.

I've actually never lost to a Mustang. I've beat two 5.0s (one GT/5-speed the other LX/auto) and one 4.6. I would admit if I've lost to a Mustang but I havent. Although, I did lose to a newer Ranger with a 4.0L V6, but here's the excuse: My fuel pump was dead when I raced him; it's been changed now.

My last time at the track (about a year ago),I lost to a fox body mustang,As well as a impala S.S.,but in my next race i beat a 99 g.t. I lost my alternator belt on that one and that pretty much ended my raceing for that night.Trying to get my car home before the battery went dead was one heck of a ride!
