2001 g.t. v.s.. dodge stealth twin turbo

The dude i was supposed to race said he couldnt for some b.s. reason..he ends up agreing to race this 2001 g.t.
Everyone meets up at 5pm on this desertes road..with the 1/4 marked already...the first run the g.t. wins by about 8 car lenghts...the 2 nd run the gt wins by 6-7..
The guy with the stealth was pissed..his buddy has a 2002 kia selenta?something liek that..said he is waiting for his "tuneup"and will breaking in to low 12s for 500 bucks..LOL

Are you sure the Steath was really a Turbo? Stock they run 13's and low to mid 13's at that.

I was thinking along the same lines as cody here. Thats why i was calling it B.S. that a stock G.T. could beat a turbo stealth.

In pure stock form the TT stealth's do run low 14's. Now try to find a car that is 100% stock, and it aint that easy! If the driver of the stealth was a real novice then things turned out the way they should have. Those cars take a little practice to launch...and the turbos need to stay spooled up at the line. If one didnt know how to launch the car, the AWD would basicly do no good off the line, and slow the car down at speed. I wouldn't be so quick to call BS when it comes to races on the STREET. Remember that not everyone is John Force, and stranger things have happened. The guy driving the mustang sounds like an experienced driver, who knew his car like the back of his hand. No BS call here

Those Stealths only run low 14s, and the mustangs do the same on average. The way the drivers sound, the mustang could go 13s with that driver, and the Stealth would go high 14s, thats easily 8 cars. Just cause its a Mustang, doesn't mean its slow.

Hey man, if the Stealth driver didn't know how to launch one of those cars right and was a bad driver, that explains the huge diff. A 99+ GT with should be able to edge out a stock TT stealth by a bit, even though theres a sizable HP difference. But a poor driver would widen the gap considerably, even to the 6 car lenghts like he said. I still like Stealths though, my neighbor used to have a black 92 RT (AWD TT 5 Speed) and that car was nice as hell.

Been in both, driver error can make that many cars easy. The stealth I rode in ran stock 13.7's. This is with a 7K rpm clutch drop, (yes AWD is nice ) I doubt this stealth owner is that hard on his car, as the launch to 60 is were its at for these cars, past
that their portly weight catches up with them.
