I am currently looking at a 88 monte SS w/ a305 rated at 180hp. I want to know what they run in the quarter mile? While on tpoic i wanted to know what my moms 95 monte 3.1sfi (rated at 160hp) would run in the 1/4?that thing is actually pretty fast, me and da boys street race it every now and then. And to stay on the thirdgen topic, how do these cars fare aganist my 'maro(check sig)

The SS runs like high 15's its a freakin joke calling it a SS. The '95? not really sure..

 

the 95 will probably click off a low 17 and SS will likely stop the clocks at about a 16.5.

stick with what you got

 

PUT THE MONEY YOU'D SPEND ON THE MONTE INTO A 350 FOR YOUR CAMARO OR TO BUY A COMPLETE FORGED ROLLING ASSEMBLY FOR THE 305 AND SOME SPRAY:lala:

hey dont dog mcss's tony, they are awesome cars , with a stock l69 you will see anywhere from a 15.8-16.xx out of these cars , but watch out , you can pretty much squeeze anything into a gbody so a 383/406/502 is not uncommon on the street with these cars . but yeah your 1le will have no trouble with either

They are nice cars but from the factory an old lady's jazzy chair could beat one

 

Well, I hope my G-body is a little more impressive. I actually like Montes but they are more what I consider "competition". Them and...f-bodies. To name a few. Anything that is a cool vehicle that is not a top priority of mine to own. Except for fart can users.

 

Well your Camaro would definitely waste the Monte SS, as the others have noted, but I love the look of those things. That would be a cool pair to have, the Monte and the Camaro.
