OK one of my very best friends drives a 89 mustang and he thinks it is the shiznit. Anyway he seems to think that he can beat anything around here because he beat one lightning (Looked like the lighning didnt know how to launch). So all of a sudden he thinks he can blow my doors off. Now me being "MR NICE GUY" doesn't want to burst his bubble. Last time he was at the track he got 14.07. I have killed too many Mid 13 cars to count including 2001 SS, 2 Lightnings and a 99 z28 with some bolt ons. He is one of my best friends and i would hate to inbares him too badly. Maybe I should just beat him by half a length or something. So what do you guys think I should do?

If he's got a 14 second car and thinks it's fast I say embarass the hell out of him in front of his girl.

hasnt he seen your car run? doesnt he know what it is capable of? if so, hes being a dumbass for running his mouth. if he keeps talking smack, race him and put as many lengths on him as you can. hes only got a 14 sec car, he hasnt earned his bragging rights yet

 

Race him, let it all out, and win. Just keep it to freindly smack talkin and don't let it get personal. And if he asks for a rematch, I'd say do it once but no more than that.

 

All right I just hope he doesnt get pi**ed off. He does get a temper sometimes

i have the same prob man.....but this guy isnt my best friend becuz of how he likes to brag about his 90 probe GT.....he thinks it is the shiznit also cuz it has a TURBO......well he was talkin **** so i just raced him....and i had my best friend in my car which is weighs like 200lbs.......so that was an advantage on him becuz he had no one with him but i still kicked his a$$ by 2 car lengths......so now he just brags about how "good" his car looks and how it is "going" to be fast.....

 

Well I killed him at the track today. Track was really slick but anyway i got a 14.03 @ 103 and he got 14.54 dont know his mph. Just to hard to get traction on these junk tires and with the weather today. He didnt get that mad I think because his time at the track last year was about the the same as mine at 100mph
