The search is finally over!...

I just sealed the deal on a nice 3 bedroom house last night! The real estate agent called me about 7:40 last night to inform me that they had accepted my offer without and counter-offer on their part. It's small, but more than enough for what I need. Here's the run down:

- In Hamilton, below the mountain
- Single storey 3 bedroom (2 on main level and one in the basement)
- Finished basement
- Single car detached garage with parking for five car in total
- Patio in the back

Hopefully I can get some pics on Tuesday when I go to look at the house again with the building inspector. I've still got some of the legal financial stuff to do, but otherwise I take possesion of the house on July 5th! Hopefully I can get together a house warming party before the end of the summer.

Thanks And no, getting rid of the car was not an option...I searched high and low for a place with a nice garage for I would have a place to store it when not in use.

Welcome to the wonderful world of home ownership.Nothing better than purchasing your first home. If you were like me, it was "I want a garage that comes with a house".Just ask my wife.

Kev, you nailed that right on the head! That was my number one search criteria...if it didn't have a descent garage and adequate parking I wasn't even interested in looking!

SR: You darn right man! No more paying someone elses mortgage!

Nathan: Yup, going cruising will be much easier...just gotta get my car back on the road (I broke something else yesterday )

Smoka: West of Wentworth between Cannon and Barton.

skidoo: You betcha...it will feel even better when I more in and get the garage set up!

It's the little plastic connector on the end of the TV/detent cable, that hooks onto the throttle linkage...I was soooo pissed. Again, my car will be undriveable for the next couple days till I can get a whole new cable ordered. I just hope it's as easy to install as it looks because I need to get it done by Thursday at the very latest.

Smoka: Cool!

Nathan: All I did was blip the throttle...kinda scary considering it could of happened while I was driving. Anyway, I ordered the cable and it's only gonna cost me about $20. I may just get a place to install it for me as this weather has really been sucking lately and I need it fixed. I gotta hunt around for prices first to see.

TA Terror: Hess Village here I come! Unfortunately it's not within staggering distance.
