NEW injectors are in

I picked up the new injectors from Rudy Held today Accel 19lb'ers x 8 for $505.00 CDN which is not a bad deal for brand new injectors. I hear the Ford SVOs are cheaper but I just couldn't bring myself to put a Ford part on my car.

I have the re&re job down to 2.5 hours which is pretty good seeing as I have done this a few times now. The car started first time and runs ABSOLUTELY GREAT. I did a few kms then hit a straight stretch for a WOT run and it pulled very hard. I've done a few mods that are starting to come together, porting, pullies, cold-air and FINALLY the Jacobs system installed and working. Altogether pretty fast ride it will be interesting to

1) see how it does at the track and
2) see how it pull on the dyno.

adious,
RP.

88 IROC Bob -- yah it just turns over once (I SWEAR) and starts kinda like an instant on button ... I tried the glass of water on the plenum and it didn't spill either. V e r y smooth thx.

triggerGTA -- yah I was going to call but I had to do the job in between company (we have guests in from out of town) so the window of opportunity was short. But THX !!! for the offer dude !

zeddar 1990 -- these things are bright yellow that was a surprise what is the deal with your car do you still have rough idle or driving issues ?

2 weeks ago the car threw a code 43(knock sensor). I put a 3.9 k resistor inline from the knock sensor to lower the knock counts. I havent had a repeat of the incedent but the car appears to miss at certain speeds. I'm not sure if the knock sensor is causing the ecm to screw with the timming. I took 16th owners advice and put the old coil wire back on(instead of the taylor 8mm)and the car appears to have a steadier idle. I was out cruising around last night with the top down and I had the heater on. When I shut the car off I heard a hissing noise comming from the HVAC controls. Vacuum leak? Only happens when the control is set to heat(Doesn't hiss in the vent, defrost or air conditioning settings).Yeah! yet one more ****ing thing to fix. This car is like a jet fighter, 4 hours of repair/maintenace for every hour of operation. Speaking of which did anyone seeRipley's Believe it or not last night? They raced an F-16 Viper against a new Dodge Viper. Interesting results

My car makes the hissing noise also and I have low kms (74 as of this morning). My Dodge Grand Caravan makes hissing noises also (first time I thought it was the wife -- noooo just kidding !!!) in fact everything I've ever owned with A/C hisses including my late Acura. Unless something quit I wouldn't fret over it.

How many k's on your cap/rotor and wires ? I had an 'engine miss' like you describe on my '88 it was an ignition wire one of those in the A/C heat sink (4-6-8) it looked fine but tested bad. Go figure.
