I wouldn't run my car on nitro either. Now, nitrous on the other hand..........

Hmmm, i'd get a K&N, a good cat-back exhaust, and a set of the Flow Tech headers with y-pipe. That would probably put you over $600 though.

On the other hand, you could probably score a used 350 for $600.

There is a used 350 for sale in the classifieds. That (in my opinion) is your best bet. I had the LG4, but I switched to the 350 because there is so much more to do. LG4's on the other hand take a little more work to get were a 350 is. But with $600, u need to DEFINATELY change the cam, intake, carb, and exhaust before u think of anything else.

If you can live with the price of gas, either a 350 or a set of gears.

Why I like my 305...

I get 28 mpg highway and 20 mpg city...

13.8 L/100 KM or 7.9 Km/L in city and 9.1 L/100 Km or 11Km/L Highway...

This is my stats before my tuneup... been 4 years since I had one... new stats coming hehe... I'll be back to 30 mpg soon...

yea im not too concerned with the mpg..rite now im looking for a good 350 engine i can trade my 305 for(to help pay for the 350 of course) or the best i can make my 305..either 1 is good..im still deciding on which to pick...would i be better off changing to a 350? or making my 305 a monster? my only problem with an engine swap is i dont have the facilities to do teh engine swap myself so that wud mean sending the car to a shop and paying labour charges.

that's what bites you in the ***... if you can't do it yourself a 350 swap is impractical... the 305 responds well to minor mods so bang per mod is higher, but potential on the 350 will always be greater than the 305... so its up to you which way you want to go.. actually the wallet does more of the thinking here... lucky for you a 350 is available for sale in the classifieds, for the price he's asking, its a decent buy...

I would go with this setup as well just make the K&N the open air element and scrap the stock air cleaner setup.

All these mods will still work with a 350 later on so it seems like a good start for now. Plus the sound improvement would a bonus.

Sell your car and buy a 92 Camaro... hahhaa Just buggin ya!
I had an 82MARO and I always strived for TPI.. So I sold it and bought my 92MARO best thing I ever did.. but for perfomance umm I got a set of 92 manifolds in a dump pile I'll sell them cheap.
they are suppose to flow better than the earlier models.. SO I have read!
Or save up some more cash.. and put a 350 in it!! you won't regret it!
