Today @ Deleware!

We had slightly better GM representation this time around.... It was looking pretty bad at first, but then an ARE 426 C5 rolled in with an LS1 Z28 and owned everyone.

My dad beat me with his V6 I have a list of excuses, but winnin's winnin!

Dad's 2.8 V6 RS

My 355 Z28

ARE 426 C5

Dave's LS1 Z28

ARE 426 in action

Me realizing that I forgot to put the sway bar back in

The guy with the C5 says that he hit a high 9 in the 1/4 on slicks.

Next year, mind if I join you guys? I'm pretty good at handling cars... I learned to drive in L.A., San Fran, NY City, Toronto... I think I can do a pylon course...

That 'vette has absurd gobs of torque. He laid two nice melted strips from an 80kph roll.

That's an understatemnt . I was talking to his buddy Dave when he started it up...

I'm like "Umm... K, That is NOT a stock LS1"

He goes "No......... no it's not"

I guess you missed this post:

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=128316

I wish some of you guys would have made it.... I didn't want to make a big hype about it and have it be a let down though. The next one is on the 28th I believe. I'll keep everyone posted this time as it seems there is growing interest.

PS: Scottman launched a rod and ate a crank journal on the 401 yesterday. His engine is on the stand right now. We are looking for 2.8 parts (rods & crank) if anyone can help out. We briefly considered a 3.4 swap... but it didn't seem worth it for the minimal gains. A V8 swap is not an option for him right now.

Thanks homeslice, I love C5's. I think i've seen that one on 'vetteforum. They do cone killing at Jetform park in Ottawa but the course is pretty tiny. The Integras and Miatas own everything on sundays.
