Rims, what do you guys think/

I have the opportunity to buy these rims. Someone in ontario I know is offering me them. They are 18 inch all around, painted white professionally. They are not replicas, they are official GM rims. The guy has since this picture machined the rims to make them look better. He has $2500 tires on the rims as well. I forgot what kind it starts with SO-3 something something i think. What do you guys think. He wants $2600 O.B.O. maybe I can save up that much by the end of the summer....

I don't like the thin spokes on those.

With rubber that might be a good price though. There will likely be issues with offset.

I think these look better - cost about $2100 Cdn. just for the rims.

This car belongs to another guy on the board but I expect mine will look similar when it's sorted out.

I never understood why those wheels were so popular, Firehawks, or whatever, right...?

Easy, as for those 'Vette wheels....yikes dude. Just because that Corvette had to suffer with them all this time doesn't mean the disease should spread to 'Maros....go chrome!

Personal preference I guess.

To me they're a clean and simple design whereas a lot of after market rims look like one of those things that spins around in the bottom of a food processer.

Speaking of which, I really like those Grand Am rims, kinda have a sawblade feel going with them...gotta find a pic.

you guys have no tastes.

i hate the firehawk wheels, and those grand am wheels... i'm gonna assume you're still in shock from getting pulled over yesterday and can't think straight...

the vette rims look awesome. they are y2ks... chrome is good, but i always liked white rims on blue cars... and my car is blue.

The white rims look gaudy, especially in that plastic-esque white. By a few more stickers and tell me how bad my taste is, again?

Easy I agree with you as for the white rims on a blue car but for $2,600 I think that is a little much for those to be quite honest

i think the firehawk rims look like the American eagle typw crap that they sell at canadian tire. teh white rims would look killer if they were chrome. If i could have any rim, id take 18 inch ZR1 five spoke chromies. but thats me and what evr, its your money, you work for it, just like its your car, you put whatever YOU want. i wouldn't ask, hey is this cool, id just do it. who cares what people say. its my ride so kiss my a s s !

Exactly - I would'nt ask either - it's your car do what ever you want. But what I'm asking myself is why did I respond to this stupid post - like as if care about what type of wheels Alex puts on his car or anyone else for that matter. Lol..

I think they match up. Im not a painted wheel fan nor a chrome wheel fan either really... just like em silver but a blue car is a good match for a white rim like that.

STIFFLER, I'm finding out fast about the flack with stripes... nobody really actually teases but they just kinda mention the stripes and grin a little. Some cars can pull em off pretty good, like yours.

well here in London there's quite a few cars with racing stripes that look pretty stupid. so just having racing stripes automatically raises an eyebrow before they even see how it looks. AND I have white wheels on my car and actually think they do look pretty badass BUT they must go! too small.

George,:hail: I love the Firehawk rims. I wish I could afford a set.

Alex, i'd go with the Z06 rims. The Y2K C5 rims show alot of brake which turdgen's do not have.

I wish I could afford tyres for the rims - the new tranny and a lot of suspension parts ate my bank account.

I hate to admit it, but those wuite rims don't look bad at all... on the 'vette. And Easy, we're already established that you do NOT own a 'vette, although I do see how you're confused.
