I disagree ...maybe a 15.8 -16.0
1989 305 TPI
.... mine was a 5 speed ...with 3.08 posi ...and 225'000 on the odometer ...an injector crapping out Maf issues .... bearing noise in the tranny .... smokes while I am on it , bad IAC .....
15.1 @93 ....maybe I got lucky ....but when she was reallllly screwed ..... steady 15.4's
... just tossing out what I did with mine ....thats all

The ragtops are pretty heavy. Not to mention it would have been a single cat car with the 2.75" exhaust and probably a 2.73 rear end. I think one in need of a tune up would have no problem running a blistering 16.3.
