you can go to the jp and talk to him...if you get no satisfaction just make a court date..cops usually dont show up

so i should go into the station and try to argue that first? and if that fails I will take it to court.
That's exactly what you should do.
In my experience they don't throw out tickets any more for minor spelling mistakes or make/model errors.

They def won't throw it out.

And as a follow up, I am currently fighting one myself...

I got a letter the other day from the Crown asking for an adjournment as the cop is unavailable on the day I'm supposed to go to court. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I think this guy really wants to get me.
