Runs like crap when cold

My 88 305 TPI runs like crap when its cold. I thought these cars were supposed to run pretty decent when cold. Is there anything that could be causing this?

Once in a while it'll throw a code 34. It will only throw this code if there's a slight miss when I first start it up. Other than that it always runs like crap when cold. Light or no light.

Any other suggestions? IAC valve? Cold start injector?

well I can guess all day, but to make sure it was asked first, do you have access to a scan tool?

No, not at this time. Possibly over the weekend. What should I check?

get it up to temp, and check the 02 voltage, you want it to be as close to .450mv in closed loop, and at the hotter temps of open loop, dont expect it to be between 400-500 steady because it wont, but if its always 200mv or or 800 then thats a sign, make sure ALL THE SENSORS are giving you some sort of output, and make sure it looks reasonable, also check other things like timing, knock, etc etc etc.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them on a scan tool this weekend. If the 02 sensor or any of the other sensors were bad wouldn't it always run bad? Once the car warms up it's fine.
