Throttle sticks after intake cleanup

Hi all. I just used a bunch of that throttle body cleaner stuff and sprayed it into the intake. Afterwards, I noticed right away that the throttle now 'sticks' and I have to blip it to bring it down. WTF, does anyone know how I can fix this? Should I install a helper spring on the throttle body?

I've tried Wd40 all over the spring, linkages and cables. Everything is nice and clean.
Can you be more specific? Is there something to lubricate inside the throttle body?

WD-40 sucks as a lubricant. I would put motor oil on the sides of the throttle blades and on the linkage, wherever it could stick.

Cool, I try that for the external parts. Don't like the idea of oil inside the throttle body though.

sticking

Whenever I do a tune up on a TPI car, I always take off the throttle body, tear it apart and clean it with a solvent such as thinner or spirits that removes tarnish very easily (AIC valve must be removed before cleaning). You might try spraying some WD409 on the throttle cable also.

I have this same problem....the idle will be a bit high (bout 1000rmps) and I'll have to blip the throttle to get the idle down. now if the accelerator cable is off, the throttle will return to where it's supposed to be everytime....snaps right back into place....so it seems as if the accelerator cable is what's keeping the idle high. I've cleaned it, greased it, etc...any ideas anybody?

Aside from the comments on the most recent thread discussing this, you might want to buy a motorcycle cable lubing tool. It will allow you to inject lubricant into the cable without having to pull it out of the vehicle.

Here's one possible supplier, but it wouldn't be too difficult to make one up yourself:
