pics of stealth ram powder coated

I just thought I would post some pics of my stealth ram. I had it powder coated almost crome and then cleared. I then used a red clear coat on the top of the intake. Any opinions?

I just got done polishing the upper and fuel rails on mine. I'm probably just going to powdercoat the base.

That looks pretty nice. Can you take a pic or two in some natural light?

There's no chrome finish.. It's a machined aluminum bar (or actually it's extruded) with clearcoat. If you think that's polished, then you don't know what you're missing. Can you pick your teeth in the reflection off of it? I can.

I tried it with a set of regular TPI fuel rails and it didn't look as good as I thought it would (to me anyway, some ppl might have liked it).

My friend has the whole setup from eastwood. So it cost me nothing but the cost of the powder. Your mini ram would look great. I will tell you this though it took us over an hour to tape everything off.

Thanx for the good replys everyone. I was real happt with the way it turned out.

Here a few more pics with some better light

It is going on my '88. The motor is almost done. Its a 355cid, AFR 190's 68cc, compcam extreme energy 224-230dur @50 532-540 with 1.6 rockers, forged probe industries pistons 9.8:1 comp, stock rods and crank. I am planning on some 12.50s witht he setup. The car now runs great and hooks up with tires so I hope to achieve my goal.

Right now it has 184k miles on it. I have a 2800 10in. stall flowmaster muffler, ported plenum. With a set of slicks, skinnies up front and no air filter"only at track" the car has run a best of 13.92@98mph with a 1.8060ft and 13.02@102 with a 1.71 60ft on the bottle with a 100shot.

This is my daily driver so I am keeping it kinda mild. The 87 is a different kind of animal

Thats the setup I'm going with except ealge rods and crank. Its always good to know its a proven setup to go fast. I cant believe you lost 9 tenths with just a 100shot. What kinda suspension mods have you done? Now that I got the tranny in I'm thinking of going with some LCA relocation brackets and sf connectors. Whos knows...........
Later Barrett

Btw whats in the '87?

Well to be honest the suspension is bone stock except for the ws6 and some kyb shocks front and rear. Our cars have always been able to hook up good with a set of slicks. My friends car cuts 1.51 60ft's with stock suspension. All he has is a set of spohn control arms and thats it>! Its a fast car though. My best 60 with my car is a 1.70 with the mods listed above and the 100 shot. My best N/A is a 1.79

The 87 is a fully forged 406cid,afr210's,big bump stick,11:1comp,moser9in, etc

Hey that looks like the same colour that i had mine coated with. Only i just had the upper done. Looks sweet though, powdercoating makes a huge difference in the appearance.
