Keeping the 5.7 TPI stock (mostly)
Sooo... if I were to get my hands on an F-Body with the L98 and didn't want to do any major internal mods but had this in mind:
1. Cold Air intake
2. Ported and Polished Plenum
3. Headers
4. Full catback exhaust
5. Nice ignition setup
Would I be being too optimisitic to hope for 13.8-14.0 quarter mile runs? I know these cars can do 14.5 bone stock so...

Some drag radials will help out alot, but you should see low 14's easy.
I got my Z to run 14.4 when it was all stock on a day when it was about 100* out and the car had 80,000 miles on it.

Sounds good - platinums don't help at all huh? I thought to just get the bosch +2's cause they aint to expensive, or the AC Delco rapidfires, b/c regardless plugs dont cost much

Yes. But start out with a lower mile G92 L98, (87-90 IROC-Z or 91-92 Z28) they can run low/real low 14's. That will make what you want to do easier. Do the ram air, air foil, K&N filters, headers, (1 5/8's will probably be fine for what you wanna do) plenum porting, complete 3" exhaust including converter, (maybe a cut-out) and advance the timing. The igniton stuff won't make that much of a difference and I agree on the AC Delco spark plugs. Post your results if you ever do that.

Depending on what year you get, those numbers will be accomplished quite easily imo. You get an early l98 it won't be as easy as getting a late one.
Check out my sig for times and mods. I've been told it could be is a 13.9-14.0 run. Never know though. GL.
