Cold air system????
hey, well there is a million of these around... the search is down, so you will not be yelled at as much as usual... anyway.. you can make it out of pvc pipe.. and its good that you have map sensor, and you dont have to worry about the big MAF... try to do a search... there will be a million pics of cai and ram air set ups...
well since you your user name is 90FormulaWS6, I take it you have a Firebird, well like someone above said, you can just make a home made CAI with PVC pipe and a K&N cone filter or pop charger, make a housing for it using som type of hard insulating and go from there...you will be sucking in some colder air not hot air.....remember colder denser air makes HP....AARON

or since you have a 90 WS6, you can get just the SLP canister thingy for their Cold Air Intake. Your original boot going to the canister will fit up. Do a search for SLP online. Or try the sponsers.

Thanks for the compliment
she's got a new spoiler in the mail and paint/hood coming in the Summer (cross your fingers on that one )
Increase in HP is fairly small. I did it because my stock box was absolute crap. the 87 style boxes are hideous and fall apart. But anyway....expect somewhere between a 0 and 5 hp gain. Although, it changed my exhaust note a bit & the car sounds like it has a supercharger while its sitting because of the sucking noise. WEEEEE my car sucks
Have fun

and I would recommend NOT doing the PVC setup for a permanant solution. My pvc version melted and warped (scary stuff huh?). The best way to do it is described perfectly in my tech article, so follow ALL instructions.
