What cam for a 395 & StealthRam???

Right now I have a TPIS ZZ9 cam in my '87.

But if I go ahead with a 395 stroker and a HSR, what would be a good cam for me, street and strip use?

Yeah thats a damn radical camshaft. I am not very hip to cam and intake matching but I think you might want to take a look at the extreme energy cams from Compcams as well.

I was thinking about a cam around 224/224. The Extreme Comp Cams do look very good, one of those should do it for me,, but which one in particular?

Ohh, I'd say about 236/242 112 LSA, .555 int / .576 exh with 1.6 rockers... that sounds pretty good to me!

Really, this can't be answered without knowing the cylinder head specs.

I guess it depends on what your definition of drivability is. The duration on the ZZX is something like 239/239, which would act like a 224 or 230 in a 350. Streetable, yes. Emissions, Maybe not.

FWIW, I just received my HSR and Comp Cams XE 230/236 112 LSA cam. But this will be on a 350. Big?...yes. Emissions legal?...who cares!

Brad's recommendation seems right on for 395 cubes.
