Wells MAF Code 36
Wells MAF Code 36
I tried doing a search for this but I couldn't find an answer that really satisfied me. I have recently installed a Wells SU145 MAF sensor on my 89 GTA. Now, I am pulling a code 36. Now I know that the Wells unit does not use the burn off feature like the Bosch ones do. So, my question is that will the code 36 affect anything besides the fact that it creates the little annoying light in my gauge cluster? How can I fix this? (and no, I don't burn my own eproms so I can't change it that way)
Thanx.

I believe a faulty relay will still throw a 36 even with the Wells. Have you tried swapping the relay?
No, i haven't tried swapping relays. The relay worked fine with my Bosch maf. But, would it really matter if the relay was malfunctioning with the Wells unit since there is no burn off???
