I agree with Mikobu3 but another idea i would perfer is to use the stock heads and port them(not extreme though, it is a 305), port and siamese the base, SLP siamese runners, port-siamese and radius the plenum, use your Hedmans, qtech's, pulleys, and 1.6 rockers. All that gasket matched and used with a Comp Cams Xtreme Energy cam XE250h 206/212 Lift .432/.444 LSA 110 would work good without ECM work. Although a good burned prom be be great. Dont forget to add in all the free mods that will help. But everyone has their own suggestions and im curious to see theirs.

I was lookin at the xtreme energy cams. i got 3.23 gears with this setup i`m camming it to make sure i can hit 13`s, i got a design for an almost free cold air intake off f-bodyhideout.com. i almost wasnt gonna mess with the 305 and was about to get that mas 350, but a 13 second 305 is a sleeper in my book hehe.

Heads and cam are going to be the biggest restrictions.

i competely agree with mikobu3,
thats pretty much my setup so far--
well not aof it but some of it and others sitting in boxs in my room.
but i am waiting till my motor blows. so i can just rebuil that 305 and have my LB9 heads ported and new 1.94" intakes valves installed. a new cam along with a set of SLP runners and a ported base-

well i`m tryin to hit 13`s on the original motor since day1, all my setup needs probably now is a fast ecm, cam 3.73`s and an aluminum drive shaft. as far as my head casting go i can only find out what they are by gettin the number under the valve covers. gm made a ton of 305 head casting most cannot be listed in one place. i may just get some heads that can be switched with a 350 so i dont waste ne money on it.
