you did not state the method of achieving 13s so i would have to say spend the money on a NX unit set it at 100hp and go run some 13s

I would say exhaust, cam, gears, afpr and some porting of your TPI shoudl get you pretty close.

N20 Is deffinetly one way to get there as staed above,
Another I would say if you do not want to go internal.
headers,exhaust,3.73's,advanced timing and a good 2500-2800 stall with good tires will get you there.
I f you don't mind going internal go for the cam to and you should easily be there.

My l98 with only flowmaster,headers,3.73's went 13.7 @ 97 MPH.
With a converter that car would have gone 13.5 or better I think.
I also think it would have been faster with 3.45's on the l98 and if the trans would have let me shift before 5400.
But your less air hungry 305 will like 3.73's and a 5300 shift or so.
You are at a 40 hp disadvantage. = 13.9 or better.

EXCELLENT! The 305 Revolution is begining!

Anyway, i plan on following the same route as GM High Performance did ( at least i think thats who did it). They took an 89 Formula with the 305/5 speed and set a goal of reaching 13's without going internal. they called it Blue Thunder. First they made sure it was in good running order, then proceeded with a full exhaust system, SLP intake upgrades, underdrive pullies ( which netted them 19.8 RWHP and 20.4 RWTQ), and an upgraded suspension. Unfortunately i missed the last issue in the series, so im not sure whether they reached their goal, but they did make some impressive numbers without resorting to cam, or exspensive head work.

13 second LB9s aren't that hard to do.

*If you have a 5speed I'd say to get at least 3.42s if not 3.73s, *** a ZZ4 cam, free mods, ignition, full exhaust and some drag radials. I

*With an auto, I'd say add a zz4 cam as well with a 2800 converter along with the same mods above.

*Of course you could always just spray it. If it were me, I'd buy some cheap used vette heads and put them on it with a decent cam and the other mods above and run some really good ETs for a 305. 305s CAN run, its not as hard as everyone says.

My original 165k mile smoking 305 ran about 14.5@96mph w. a 2.3 60' time and all it had was a K&N, AFPR, headers, cutout, MSD, and a T56 with 3.42s behind it on street radials. After pulling it I found out it had almost no compression on one cylinder and VERY low on all the others. It needed a COMPELTE rebuild and still ran that good. 305s aren't as bad as everyone says. Just my $.02. GO FOR IT!!!

ok, you opened me up, IT IS NOT HARD to make a 305 run 13's not hard @ all.

Of course a proper tune up would have to be done as well as a sound motor in healthy condition. look @ the mods on my car & I run 14.4's, not much of anything done except a bunch of free stuff.

with a 100 shot youd automatically be in the 13's, the mods you listed is good enough for 13's, the NOS on top of that is enough for 12's.

these threads make me laugh. its not hard to acheive what your looking for. start with exhaust headers, y pipe, cat/no cat and cat back exhaust. free mods, weight reduction, rear suspension parts for traction. id definitly suggest if ur car is a 305TPI auto upgrading to the L98 cam or Lt1 cam. also u will need tranny work, stall converter, build it up a bit to have strong shifts.
