Still having problems
Ok I fixed some of the problems i was having before but I still have 2 left. For one when I start the car it revs to about 1700 and within 3 secs it is down to about 1000. I do not think it should do this. And for two when I stop at a redlight (or anywhere for that matter) after i have been cruising at about 1800 RPM it idles at about 900 then after 2 secs it idles to about 650 (where it should be). We have fixed so much on this thing and it is really getting on my nerves.
Right now it has a new PROM, MAF, IAC, TPS and O2 sensor.
My only guess would be that my modifications are hurting it. I have a stock CIA out of an 88 formula, with K&N filter, air foil, deleted AC, deleted smog pump belt, deleted cat, and an 80 series Flowmaster muffler.
Could it be faulty injecters b/c they are ticking?

I just did some research, and found that an ignition module could cause this. What do you guys think? For 17 bucks I think I will replace it anyways. Does any body have a pic of what the ignition module looks like or where it is located? I do remember seeing one when I replace the distributer cap, rotor, coil and wires, which I replaced with stock units.

Ok, I found it, I was reading somewhere and they called it the distributer module
So I thought they were 2 different things.

I had a crazy idle problem and turned out the distubtor was going bad. Eventually, it just completely broke and the car would not start at all. The magnetic pickup likes to fail in these cars and when it starts going out it swings the timing all over the place causing an erratic idle. This may or may not be your problem but just pull the dist cap off and inspect the magnetic pickup if is all rusted and brittle its on its way out. And personally I just put a whole new MSD distributor in mine it was much easier.

Well I have a steady idle, but it just revs high when I start the car. Could it be the Fuel Pressure Regulator? How do I test the FPR

I think it is just a function of the computer learning were it is on the restart and there is more than likely nothing that can be done about it.
