Help! Installed BBK throttle body=problems
Hi all ! Today I worked on my car and now it won't idle. changed to afpr (stock pressure setting for now). SLP runners and ported plenum. checked everythind, installed slightly used bbk throttle body. starts right up but idles high. like 1500 rpm- idle adjustment screw is all the way out. looked for vacumn leaks and can't find anything wrong. the t.b. came off a speed/density car and I am mass air. Does that make a difference? My car-88 350 tpi w/700R4.

OH !! Problem solved, I was sitting in the bar tonight with a beer and my no2 installation manual. Looking at the relocation bracket instructions and I remembered I never reseated the throttle cable I removed when I changed the plenum. Went out to the parking lot, seated the cable- started the car and grabed my t-15 torx driver-set the idle and all was right in the world. talk about stupid mistakes!
P.S. the new parts kick butt!! definatly faster! I was worried 'cause I see so much negative stuff about the BBK products on the boards. Tommorow I will try to set the TPS and play with the fuel pressure. And captain, thanks for the help-Mike
